Mrs Dex and I did a week cruise down the Norwegian Coast late Oct last year... much of the trip is along protected inland passages behind islands, but there are some long, overnight (on our trip) sections exposed to the wild North Atlantic and that’s where this incident occurred ... the ship recovered engine power earlier this afternoon AEST and is headed to the nearest port under escort from a couple of tugs ... what a nightmare 24 hrs it would have been at anchor in 8-9 m high waves and howling wind, knowing they’d be blown aground ifthe anchor chain snapped or dragged.
