I tend to agree with JohnnyThunders "no longer a casino chip" quip.
As I've said before, the risk in not making a killing in BPT in the long term is if we just make a great return in the short. The sovereign wealth funds invest like Buffet - identify value, buy and hold. That spells disaster for the financial tap dancers at NAB, Citi and the other pump & dump price manipulators at the *cough* investment banks.
However, finding a company with massive assets, a well funded CAPEX program, professionally run production (how often do you get the announcement of difficulties in the BPT operated stuff!) bringing cashflow in a macro environment of rising prices is gold.
And if some cornerstone investors recognise this, and are happy to sit tight for a decade we might yet get to see something really mind blowing.
In summary, very, very good news for the long term small investor, IMHO.
