I am not condoning algorithmic, nor high frequency, trading. Far from it, in fact.
We do not know the fine details of the case from that media report. But the fact that they made a profit tells me that they were not doing it for the benefit of humanity.
So imagine if we had the bots to contend with as well as these types of traders who knew how to beat the system ?
The bots will eventually destroy themselves, as they are a reflection of mankind.
