As any self respecting Beatles officionado would be aware, Abbey Road was released before Let It Be but is widely known to be their final masterpiece ( Let It Be was re-mastered from previous recordings by the one and only Phil Spector, later becoming more infamous for his rather unsavoury deeds which led him to be incarcerated for the rest of his natural ).
The final triage of songs on Abbey Road ( Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The end ) shines the light on just how good they were as a 4 piece rock and roll band. As Molly would say, do yourself a favour!! Orchestration aside, listen to the break in Golden Slumbers prior to the segway in to The End. Pure rock and roll from the soul and what Ringo did with a 6 piece Ludwig Black Pearl drum kit is absolutely mind blowing!!!
