I read somewhere that the annual cost of biofouling prevention...

I read somewhere that the annual cost of biofouling prevention within the international shipping industry was somewhere in the region of $6-$8billion annually. This is merely the cost to try and avoid biofouling. Add to that the increased fuel bill and the down time when the ships are out of operation..... well you do the maths.

Anyone on this forum know of any 'disruptive' products that might help reduce this industry cost - lets say someone decided to mix it with paint and/or a little anti barnacle loving agent.

I raise this 'disruptive' thought for one very simple little reason.

The possibilities are large in number, enormous in scope and with each success ADO will still have another application to perfect and profit from.
