The most likely reason both chemicals weren't detected together even though the bores are so close is because they were transient readings at the limit of detection which could well have been naturally occuring but in any event were gone almost as soon as they were registered.
It seems to be the casing failure that has concerned DERM the most because it represents an uncontrolled release of contaminants into an aquifer. I have hope that if they can fix that problem they will be allowed to resume operations despite Pratt's idiotic statements attempting to agitate the community.
If "anything more than zero" is an exceedance then Pratt better get the Kingaroy service stations shut down because the community is getting exposed to a massive 600ppb benzene there (600 times the drinking water guidelines!) just by breathing the air there...
