The world is looking brighter - TheJerry is finally having his "very helpful" posts moderated - AKO inches closer to the major de risking events we have all been patiently awaiting for over 12 months now. .
Madagascar continues to outwardly promote the mining sector and has a new found openness to the world of Infrastructure, process and mining reform. AKO has been flagging this for some time,, and the governments support for what is a benign operation some 30 km from the closest town, on arid land that supports no agriculture or livestock.. A project that will support jobs and return significant revenue in the form of taxes, royalties, local social program investments and community support payments, as well as contribute the GDP. No-one knows when it will receive the MOU - but we know its getting closer and with the FID being flagged for completion by the end of 2025 by Peter Bird the new CEO ,, we are definitely in the home straight. It's been a long hard road this waiting game - and many have given up and fallen off the twig.. For those hanging tough - i am super confident this next few months for the MOU the next few months for the announcement of the funding process and the next 6 months to deliver those plus the FID,, will make it all worth while.
