For anyone that wants to do the maths, im told that current rail costs are around $1.2million per kilometre in the midwest. $1.8M in the pilbara.
Thats not meant to put a dampener on anyones spirit, just might be handy info.
It should be noted that a rail, while practical long term, is not the be all and end all - and for arguments sake Padbury or anyone else doesnt have to wait for Oakajee in reality. Crosslands currently transport their ore with road trains 640kms via Cue to Geraldton port.
