It's not much good ringing the ASX and asking about Shorting of CVI.It's not on the Official List and so you'll be "reassured". Ask them if CVI can be Stock LENT though and you'll be more likely to get a Maybe,yes that's Possible.
Stock Lending was the practice of TriCom and Opes etc etc.There's some 20 odd Brokers in on this method and it is Definitely able to be Used to Short Mini Caps outside the Official List.CFD Market Makers also offer this Facility of Shorting the Non on the Official Short Listed.
When all this coffee was consumed,basking in the Light of MS's smile[or gloat] did anyone ask about the $1.2mil Debt that came up in that Last Quarterly as an Asset not Cash in Bank? CVI has $86grand in the Bank but is OWED a Million+ so is Cash Flow alright? Who did they "lend" that to?or maybe Who hasn't paid for their Placement to the Tune of a Mil$+? Has this Million been re- Paid yet?
I found that Debt extraordinary.Especially whacked into the very last lines of the Report with NO explanation whatsoever just Oh we spend Millions a Month,Have Only 80 grand$ in the Bank but oh someone owes us a Mil+ so we're OK,right?along with our Billion "Facility".
