All the PELS buybacks were ones that had no gas, so companies getting over $200,000 are getting money for nothing. Whereas Mel has in the 10 year period drilled over 50 wells and has significant gas reserves, just below that of STO and AGL. Mel has done all the hard work and the gas find, is too important for NSW to ignore. Mel should not even be considered for a buyback. The State Govt needs to sit down with all stakeholders and have a mature debate. And stop minority groups making decisions on behalf of the State, which are not based on science and fact.
