    The days of the gravy train are over. Early adopters will continue to tell us how silly we are not having it, but thats like the early property investors telling us how silly we are.

    Locally they have significantly increased the "connection fee". If you think about it, that is a small claw-back from the solar adopters.

    My neighbour is a BIG power user, his pool pump and aircons churn away. He confided that his power bill was $1,000 a qtr, and that was a year ago. Cunning as a shithouse rat he had his boat shed seperately metered and installed 22 cells on the roof. He had no intention of reducing his usage and "lowering his standard of living", just wanted a subsidy. It's a small victory but he now pays the new fee twice.
