The whole solar scheme was a scam, IMO, as even though our home has a solar system which will pay for itself by 2016, the Power companies/Govt, will have their extra power station, (a solar power station), operating very cheaply, because they will be paying out next to nothing for solar power generated, while charging ~36c/kw at today's figures.
For anyone wanting to install a system now, it is very questionable whether it is worth doing, with minimal benefits.
Anyone wanting to install a solar system now, would be recommended to seek as much advice as possible from a number of solar suppliers, as everyone's requirements and use of electricity varies. (as well as the cost of solar systems vary. )
