I'm pretty thick myself. I can't understand why, if all these CDO's, CDF's, SIV's were simply cancelled, the world would couldn't continue on in a reasonable way.
Sure, there would be massive losers who would take massive losses - but does that mean that the whole world would suffer?
Or just some portion of it? - which would, I would think, include a few of the bad guys who did actually cause it!
Got me beat.
Why does everyone have to suffer because of the actions of a few - who are now about to be protected by these massive injections of money taken from the taxpayer and taxpayer families for generastions to come?
For heaven's sake ( a very mild expression but I don't wish to moderate my post) JP Morgan is one of the 9 big banks earmarked to receive billions of dollars - yet JP Morgan's latest report just released shows them continuing to operate at a very nice profit!!!
