    Buffy,

Good grades indeed. Also, a 4000m drilling programme at the Wombola Dam to start next week as well. Lots to look forward to!

    Check out the ann...........

RC DRILLING RESULTS - PROJECT MANAGER APPOINTED
Cortona Resources Ltd (CRC) is pleased to announce the results of the first phase of RC drilling at the Wombola Pit prospect. The results are highly encouraging, and include intercepts of:

    WPC008: 1m @ 37.8g/t gold from 20m
    WPC012: 3m @ 6.49g/t gold from 12m
    WPC013: 7m @ 4.08g/t gold from 5m
    WPC0019: 1m @ 12.0g/t gold from 20m
    WPC021: 12m @ 4.91g/t gold from 40m
    WPC022: 4m @ 13.0g/t gold from 8m

Three lines of RC drilling have been completed in oxidised rocks to the northeast and east of the pit. A further 4 holes were drilled within the pit. In light of these positive results, the Company will now assess the potential to expand and upgrade the current resource. A summary of the results is presented in Table 1, and a collar plan is shown in Figure 1.

The RC program is due to move to the Wombola Dam prospect, where a rig is expected within a week. Approximately 4,000m will be drilled in a series of 100m and 200m deep holes to test both the lateral and vertical extents of gold mineralisation beneath the extensive near-surface anomalism. Furthermore, the Company is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Susan Drieberg to the position of Project Manager, East Kalgoorlie. Susan’s expertise in alteration geochemistry and mineralogy will be highly complimentary to the Company’s existing strengths in structural geology, and will greatly enhance our ability to target additional resources at the North Monger and Juglah Rocks projects.

    Wombola Pit: Summary of Results
Twenty-two RC holes have been completed for a total of 2,011m at the Wombola Pit prospect (Figure 1), ranging in depths from 39m to 102m. Four metre
composite samples were collected and submitted for assay by the acid digest method at Amdel Laboratories, Kalgoorlie. One-metre ‘splits’ for those composite samples returning assays >0.25g/t were then submitted to Amdel, and these were analysed by fire assay.
