New Publication: VEGF-C and -D Signaling Pathways as Potential Targets for the Treatment of Wet AMD
In this month’s edition of Ophthalmology and Therapy, a scientific review was published about the growing body of evidence that in retinal diseases, such as wet AMD, the pathophysiology is broader than simply dysregulation or overproduction of VEGF-A. Despite the tremendous progress in standard-of-care intravitreal anti-VEGF-A agents, visual gains can be limited in some wet AMD patients, as shown by clinical and real-world studies.
