I have to agree with almost everything you said. We have huge problems ahead and need to work hard to find great opportunities and most will require large social change. I also think overpopulation is absolutely critical. Google a graph of mice epidemic numbers and locust plague numbers and compare it to human population graphs. Then realize that every animal on earth that has a population explosion then has a massive collapse as nature levels itself out ............. except humans. We are the only ones that actually manipulate our environment enough to fend off the forces of nature, but it can't happen forever. The population on earth was 3 billion in about 1960 and is now over 7 billion. If it was still 3 billion we wouldn't have most of the environmental problems we now have.
