All animals, and particularly higher thinking animals such as humans, when not sleeping or eating, need to be kept busy or occupied. Without stimulation of some kind there are many ailments that tend to occur (as well as delinquent behaviour). Virtual stimulation cannot replace actual activity. A problem that arises from this 'future' is that you will have a huge population with nothing to do - Spells trouble.
