its bad enough when we see politicians farnarkle about and do diddly squat about meeting election promises. its even worse when there some expectation that a Govt with ancestry of actually doing what is necessary to reduce emissions and do so effectively.
I didn't expect real efforts by the Albanese mob of half-arsed smirking jerks (yes I'm piftoff). I knew there was only a few among them that would do.a fair job, Wong because she's diligent, and Chalmers because he's genuinely wanting to do a good job. so really we've got what I expected rather than what I hoped for.
but ***kin' Bowen has done nothing to reduce emissions.I'll post the chart below.
ABC LINK.
this chart shows that all the real emissions reductions since 2006 have come from only one sector: the Land Use,Land Clearing and Forestry.
as you can see electricity generation has come down 24% since 06 and waste management 12%, likely enabled by using sewage and refuse tips to generate methane to run turbines at waste tips and sewage plants. but nothing from industry and transport and very little from fugitive emissions, the source of methane is largely CSG gas production and coal pits.
I should add agriculture for a special mention. farmers know the damage that severe weather does. in my region, many farmers are using kelp to keep their animals and adding solar and even some with smaller wind turbines. they never get much help from Govt.unless of course they're big croppers on the MDB....
but my point. Bowen is everything the right have been saying. He's DONE NOTHING.
