    Wow, just caught up with this announcement - really it couldn't have been much worse. 12/20 withdrawals is quite extraordinary given the half decent results the drug appeared to be having in Thai patients previously. Tolerability does not appear good, and although the QTc withdrawals might have been overcautious any tendency to lengthen QTc makes drug-drug interactions much more likely and further limits patients that the drug might be used in if it ever got to market. This seems very unlikely for HCV now. One can't really assess efficacy with small scale trials such as Biotron has undertaken to date, but not improving on placebo must be a big concern. Shareholders are going to be doing most of the funding for this company for the foreseeable future, or are going to be getting significantly diluted.
