Also, Europe's car industry is pushing ahead. There was a film clip showing an equivalent to the petrol station, but the service is a drive-through battery change. It showed how a specilised fork lift puts the forks under the car, the battery is released at the press of a button, the battery is removed by the fork lift, a fully charged battery is positioned under the car and engaged. Then the driver drives away with a totally recharged battery. The service is carried out in less time that it takes to fill a car with a tank of petrol.
