EMH's SP is most definitely being manipulated as roughly 80-90% of trades today are single or double digit values processed in automated trade blocks, earlier today $20k worth of shares tanked the SP by -8.5%.
The problem is not caused solely by the bot activity, if EMH was a 'market darling' all those tiny transactions would be lost as trade noise, however there are not enough market participants on the buy side to provide price support thus allowing the SP to go up and down on miniscule volume by +-30%. EMH is not capturing the imagination of the Market, the 30 buyers and 40 sellers we should be able to do better. This is actually where we can see weaknesses of our BOD as it is their job to create stock interest and recruit new investors.
