Well, if we are going to go down that route, Geomet is owned by CEZ but part-managed by EMH . It just happens so that EMH themselves do not provide any transparency of their involvement in the recent political developments and permitting negotiations.
EMH has a very substantial marketing opportunity with number of workshops that have been hosted between Geomet and various stakeholder groups (Czech Gov, Local Gov, German counterparts, Renewable Industry and EU stakeholders etc), however EMH choses to not release any news to the market at all about any of that.
The question is then - why? Over the past 4-6 months there were at least 5-8 announcements that were significant/price sensitive enough (i.e. that workshop between Saxony deposit side and Cinovec deposit side that happened last week) to justify a update to the market on the project progress. However, EMH choses not to, as a result you have dwindling SP and bunch of impatient shareholders.
Occam's Razor- type explanation is that CEZ has the controlling hand in the BOD of Geomet and is limiting market communications to restrict SP performance, just in case that it gets low enough for a TO/BO being possible. It is the most logical explanation without going too much into conspiracy theories.
