Interesting article, not really happy with the interview as it is full of misinformation and outdated knowledge:

Grading of the deposit is misunderstood/misrepresented as the interviewee is comparing it to a spodumene-type hard rock Li deposits which is a different host geology and is not directly comparable.
23ha of logging requirement claim is untrue, no logging is required for the mine operation, minor clearance is required to establish the portal entry but that is not 23ha.
ground water impact modelling is well detailed and has been presented already at number of workshops with the community groups (no impact).
What is interesting about the article is the fact that this self-proclaimed 'environmentalist' would rather offshore the source of EU lithium to outside of the EU (i.e. China, Africa etc) where the environmental legislation and env. compliance pressure is basically non-existent and the workers safety and remuneration conditions are extremely questionable. But yeah, go ahead mr 'environmentalist' keep your China/Zimbabwe raw resources addiction going and keep closing your eyes on how it gets extracted - bloody atrocious.
