Thought this was coming back on the buy radar then had this unfortunate experience with a Vocus telemarketer.
Repeatedly alleged to be from NBN to book an appointment for connection because the landline was about to be disconnected for my pensioner mother. I took the call & long story short, said no cost involved becasue its just bringing the NBN to the house but what is your billing details for the charge (really!!). Ended with threat to disconnect service (which they don't supply).
Traced company, phone number and website back to Vocus.
Called head office but reception "not provided with information that could help with this call". Now that sounded scripted.
The problems you get when you package up these little companies into a corporate quickly, sometimes the due diligence is lacking along the the integrity. I don't think all their corporate policies and procedures have yet been put in place.
Try looking at broadband.com.au as a comparison site that only compares to themself.
Until they show some integrity I don't see much change
