Yep, people always fail to factor in reality. Pretty much no company makes it to profitability without ridiculous amounts of dilution.
Pessimism nearly always wins on the stock market. Other places, maybe it's a bad strategy, but in the market, you'll be correct 90% of the time just by taking the opposite view to the optimists.
