Please Sicky? .... Listing Rules don't define the purpose of announcements as being to keep daytraders and assorted puntas "pleased".
The theory goes that they're not meant as advertainment for Attention Deficit Disorder cases but are a fundamental part of boards' fiduciary duty to aim for long-term wealth creation for shareholders.
