Jakel, I mean it's not important as in it isn't material. Ofcourse they should only announce facts. Seems I was wrong in using the word "counter claim". According to Suenami it is a seperate claim. So GGP were still factual in their announcement.

I consider the outcome of the Page case as material. Our leases depend on it.

I don't consider our claim against Page material. Dont care if we win or lose. Dont care if we withdraw the claim. What would we get? $1mil? We are in the business of oil not lawsuits.

Pigster, we need to trust the announcements. But that doesn't mean follow it blindly. Some management have excellent track records and get followed into any project with confidence. Others are hopeless and get avoided at all costs. History plays a huge part.
