Just trying to get my head around this, I freely admit up until now I am clueless on the statement, "Price per mcf is well over $3"
So I used Google, and it says ,

Depending on the marketplace, the price of natural gas is expressed in US dollars (or other currency) per 1 million British thermal units (MMBtu), thousand cubic feet (Mcf), or 1,000 cubic meters.
I thousand cubic feet of gas is only $3 ?????????????
If that is true, then I am being royally ripped of by my Gas supplier, or have I not understood?
Is it $3 for a thousand cubic feet?
