I think thats a sweeping statement for you to say:

"What needs to be discussed is why the jews attract enemies wherever they settle".

Thats like saying:

"what needs to be discussed is why all muslims are uneducated, hysterical extremists and every suicide bomber is a muslim".

Both statements apply a broad brush over an entire nation- and in fact thats the sort of propaganda that someone like Hitler uses to perpetrate a Holocaust.

I personally think that the Jews attracted enemies wherever they settled because they settled in Catholic or Muslim countries. The catholics tried to make the Jews convert to Christianity and blamed them for killing Jesus and the Mohammed tried to make the Jews convert to his new religion but they refused and are consequently labelled as inferior in the Koran.

Its all rooted in religion. Because they weren't welcome in other countries (remember they were only in those countries becuase the Romans expelled them from Israel in 70AD), the Jews went back to Israel,so they could have their own Jewish state and protect themselves.
