Then on the other side of the coin - volume and TA can lead one to the situation where the financials have not yet been reported as turned around but the TA makes a person look and you might find a significant announcement that will later result in a financial turn - eg MRL recently selling off their discount chains and writing off as losses - won't show up in the financial reports in a positive way for at least a number of months - but TA leads one to the announcement and the potential significance of.

Works the other way for selling - profit warning and stay away, however a nice retrace to a 26 week ema with no reason for it on a company with management that you trust can be a nice top up point when the trend continues.

Lot's of strategies - as long as one follows a reasonable one with trading rules and discipline they will likely make money.
