I can't believe Hird is being made to look the victim in all this.
There will be more to come if they can find evidence somewhere of what was actually injected. This is up to Dank and my bet is he will eventually cave. Whether he cops it himself or implicates others like Hird remains to be seen but everyone has a fair belief that there were illegal and banned substances amongst what was taken. They haven't been able to prove it. If they can't then this will blow over in time but there will always be hungry journo's digging and digging.
If then the players are charged with having received performance enhancing or banned substances then the teams that were beaten by Essendon have a case to put forward. The minefield here gets enormous and most likely the AFL will just want it all to go away now.
