Those kinds of posts about " new direction" are merely " comfort food" for those who even now refuse to acknowledge the reality of the situation or transparent efforts to deflect attention away from the embarrassment of just how wrong they got it

I for one copped a regular flogging from those who would not hear a contrary point of view, supplanting the obvious signs with reams of " research" which, in many cases, amounted to nothing more than cutting and pasting Googled articles on drug testing. The fact that I didn't heed my own trepidations is my problem

On the one hand we had what, IMO, amounted to lame duck, bottom-of the barrel-management up against people who can be as smart as they are devious and for whom the bond of a contract/memorandum/agreement is as binding as spit
