Note that the $6600 you claim when unregistered reduces your taxable income $6600, whereas if your registered for GST it's a $6000 taxable income deduction + $600 GST refund.
You should look at doing the BAS yourself, for such small turnover it really shouldn't take very long so long as you keep things well documented.
