BB, in the end, I think it's a matter of buyer beware and also whom one choses to believe. The brokers churn out big volumes of research reports. Recently Goldman Sachs issued a sell report on gold for 2008. I just laughed. I have seen the Top 5 picks for 2008 for the NZ market from all the new Zealand brokers and no one, no single broker has mentioned my favorite agricutural stocks: NZS and PGW. Are they blind? or am I stupid? Time will tell, always does (sorry pirra for pinching your line). I am heavily loaded with CVI.
