I am sure that the bears will use the fear of Merryls loss to put a damper on things but last night was another big night for the Fiancial Services Index....

As of now 82 companies in the S&P 500 have reported earnings for second-quarter 2008, 72% beat estimates, 9% of companies were in-line, and 20% missed estimates.

Fiancials are all making money, lower than last year but not a wholesale crash and deep ocean of RED, it should be a good day if only we could break the cycle of shorters.
