So what did AZL buy from Prairie for $80 million? A plan to use third-party DLE process with third-party equipment to drill holes in a large area of Canada where several other companies also have rights to drill holes. None of them, though, have a high-overhead “research centre” a couple thousand km south, in a different country and time zone. So keep that in mind, when figuring a fair price for the next CR.
The testing for iLiAD’s process was done in California in March 2023. So what was that recent charade all about, where concentrated brine was hauled to Arizona for some sort of work? Doesn’t appear to have anything to do with this PFS.
And how much is ESM being paid for use of their process? Is there a contract for the next five or ten years? How many other Saskatchewan customers do they have? What are the raw materials that are needed, and will there be shortages when everyone starts buying at once?
AZL is pointing the way, in theory, to Canadian lithium production from oil brine. It’s pointing the way for others, who will succeed because of lower overhead costs. AZL might make some money from selling them its claims, though.
