I do agree KC, the future of metals prices and the world economy is one of the known, unknowns as Donald Rumsfield would say.

China is driving this one for now, but for how long.

I would have prefered MM to have taken a equity position, like most of the Chinese companies have, rather than taking over/buying the majority of assets from OZ.

But the metals prices have just moved to far to justify having to sell at prices negotiated at the nadir of the cycle. And remember its OUR company not AMs.

The US$850mil positive cashflow that I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, was meant to be US$850mil positive cashflow just from the operating mines, using figures in the latest quarterly and current spot prices at time of the post.
