Only hold a small parcel at a loss so don't follow all the posts for OZL, but this deal smells.
Without all the information, informative decisions are not possible.

I recall a similar instance not so long ago with the QANTAS board recommending a sell out at $5.60 / share ? before the GFC. QANTAS would now be dead if that proceeded, but what I am getting at is that Dixon, Jackson & co from QAN were recommending this deal because they were going to get pockets full of $$$.
After the deal failed, I recall Jackson resigning & Dixon changing his tune !

Does this sound familiar here ?
