Historically speaking we will be lucky to get any significant rain until March or April.
Unless we get the tail end of a cyclone
It was only 2 years ago that the town was threatened by a bushfire, from the north on that occasion.
So we should be good for a few more years before the fuel loads build up, enough.
Fortunately the bush is Coastal Heath and as such burns very quickly, if I lived in a timber town area I would have been crapping myself if a fire was approaching.
We can look forward to lots of dust and sand blowing into the house until we get to winter and I’ve still got to clean the ash out of my shed.
