Having slept on it. I think the dope idea is still okay but perhaps you could be better off talking to someone who does airbrush work. They would possibly be able to suggest a product that is purposely made for the air bush setup, as I assume that you wouldn’t want to change your technique to much?
Both the airbrush and hairspray deliver in a similar way.
