yes, I think if that were the case - I'd forget the fish and protect the swans. They sure aren't a number problem like possums and wallabies.

The deer are in plague proportions in parts of Tassie - I have one road recorded where there were so many deer - that I considered buying a firearm for deer, getting the permits and getting some on a regular basis. In places - there's LOADS of them.

the list was on the news last time i was down there about two weeks ago on Ch 6 i think (Ch7 mainland)
..had paddymelons in the thousands ..wallaby's....cockatoos..swans..and acouple of other creatures..
