All I need to do now is fashion a plastic insert with drainage holes in the outer edge of the base to keep excess water away from the rot points and then I can start thinking about a plant to drop into it.
That’s the hardest bit, finding the correct plant that suits the container and position that the container gets placed.
If course I could flash it up a bit with resin, varnish or a wax but I reckon it’s better to go natural with plant pots.
