Yes, looks like it is in the Aloe family. Thrive on neglect. I put on in a big tub about 30 years ago, sat it on the ground and ignored it.
It now has 5 heads, usually two of them even have two flower spikes per flower. Its hard to describe the type so I found this online.
It wont let me repost it but it is Aloe maculata Robusta
