Obviously the above text should read two spikes per plant and by the looks of this two spikes is not uncommon. The net also says that they thrive in arid regions. Thanks for the photo, now I know what it will tolerate I am going to divide mine and plant it in a dry area on my place. It will tidy up one spot and beautify another.
