pommy - I can't see Paladin making a bid and then Areva paying a 31% premium for an unusable asset when they too could have gone to SA / NT or US or Sth America, Ukraine, Kazikstahn or Glickenstein. These people don't make the mistake of taking a 9% share in something for a lazy A$120m (and potentially an 18% stake for A$293m) in a WHITE ELEPHANT. Areva only get marketing rights on 2nd tranche action - important piece of info. What would have they bought if it can't go to mine?
Real estate in Queensland is valuable but that's more than a HOT auction price!
They will have done some due dilligence and if that didn't include a political survey to understand their risk exposure then I'll be blowed.
They've got at least 120m reasons to get it right - I have not got that much on the line here!
