Leaving aside the infantile bleatings of Beamer wannabees, FWL continues to make consistent, steady progress where it counts. Brett Manning, as CEO, has not put a foot wrong. The building blocks for a successful company are progressively, and quickly, going into place. We now see transport logistics in hand, with an MOU executed with Geraldton port. combined with easy road access from the mine/processing site. Added to that is the confirmation of the validity of the IT Mk3 process for FWL ore, and the further support for the process itself, by its adoption by a second US steel company (Steel Dynamics, as well as Cleveland Cliffs).
This kind of controlled management is in stark contrast to the cowboy approach which has characterised so much of the small end of the iron ore business in WA. Good management is the single most important pre-requisite for a successful company.
On the evidence to date, FWL scores highly in this key area.
