Anyway,, @ris4rob and Et Al
Turned the many TV screens off,
and sat for a while,,,
Just looking at the way flames play,,
and listening to the wind...
And Kept minds eye on that pic of a very fine burger....of yours
Then a memory came,,,, long lost in time
Was once so hungry that could have eaten a boiled boot tounge
But ended up with some poor folks who had... in a place fare away
something to share
And then they,,, shared
Dry crusty bread,
Some salted cottage/white goat or sheap cheese with cumin and carraway,
and some sorta pickled mini tomatos in herbs,oil and vinegar,
( that later they told one how to do them)....
And to this day,,,
that meal got the fluids flowing more than any other since...
Moral....
Nothing like a bit of fasting and hunger to both open eyes and pallet.
But best of all,,,even a crust shared with a friend,
is better that a feast eaten with mockers and fools.
Oh,,,and there was a bonus,,,
Slated goat??? jerky with soaked in "zaatar,,??? (sorta bitter and sorta not )
to put in a pocket and let slowly melt in the gob when needed most,
