Share Valuations are calculated as earnings times an acceptable multiple Price/Earnings.
At present on past earnings those "Blue Chips" look cheap, but prices today are starting to factor in singnificantly reduced earnings.
The credit crisis ongoing suggests that earnings are dwindling faster than predicted in August.
