This is true especially on a cost driven product like pallets. The customer will buy the plastic pallet if it cheaper or the same as wood. Matt was asked if the environmental aspects were important in the sales process and he said yes as long as the price is right. Given the choice between plastic or timber at the same price they will choose plastic, but the customers aren't going to pay a premium.
One thing RAN has is a massive ability to scale given how much spare production capacity they have. When your raw material costs you $250/t the marginal cost is low.
