The record date (eligibility date for shareholders) was well before the SPP announcement so you cannot argue that people might have bought before the record date because there might have been an SPP. I cannot see how you can set a record date and then say some shareholders are ineligible even though they were holders on the record date.It also seems a bit messy to scale back using some formula based on length of holding shares before the record date.
